Bar Siena coming to suburban Chicago Old Orchard shopping center – Crain’s Chicago Business

The owners of Bar Siena, a popular Italian restaurant in Fulton Market, are bringing a second location to Old Orchard in Skokie.

The 8,500-square-foot restaurant is slated to open in the spring next to Nordstrom on the southeast corner of the Westfield Old Orchard shopping center, says DineAmic Hospitality, a Chicago-based restaurant group that also owns Prime & Provisions and Barrio.

Bar Siena Old Orchard, led by executive chef and DineAmic partner Fabio Viviani, will be open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

The menu will feature items popular at the Fulton Market location, DineAmic said, such as burrata with spicy apricot; octopus over swiss chard; and parmesan-crusted house rolls with prosciutto, fontina and honey. Bar Siena also serves fire-roasted pizzas, eggplant parmesan and other Italian staples.

The restaurant’s interior will feature patina-zinc bar tops and ash-wood millwork, as well as two dining patios. The entrance will encompass an outdoor, all-season pergola area that can seat 100 people, with retractable walls for year-round use. Bar Siena Old Orchard will also have two private dining rooms for events and parties.

“Much like its West Loop sister spot, Bar Siena Old Orchard’s vibe will be a combination of elements—the quaint and charming trattorias in Siena, Italy, and the industrial aesthetic of Chicagoland,” DineAmic Hospitality Founding Partner Luke Stoioff said in a statement. “We aim to bring the flavor, flare and energy of the casual Italian-American dining experience to the Midwest.”
