Chris Crane, CEO of Exelon for nearly a decade, will take on the same role for the regulated part of its business when it’s spun off next year.
The regulated spinoff, which will include Commonwealth Edison and other electric utilities in Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, among other places, will retain the Exelon name.
ComEd CEO Joseph Dominguez will give up the job and becomes CEO of the power-plant side of Exelon, effective immediately, Exelon announced this morning. That company will be dubbed Constellation, the current name of Exelon’s retail power and natural supply business, which will be part of Dominguez’s domain.
Calvin Butler, who currently runs Exelon’s regulated utilities as a group, will take over as interim CEO of ComEd.
More to come.
