Lenard named C-USA Freshman of the Week – GoBlueRaiders.com


DallasTeafale Lenard Jr. has been named the Conference USA Freshman of the Week, as announced by the league this afternoon. Lenard put up 11 points, four rebounds and two blocks in 29 minutes played this week.

Playing a season-high 21 minutes Friday night at Stephen F. Austin, Lenard equaled his career best with eight points, including a pair of energizing dunks in the second half as the Blue Raiders mounted a comeback attempt.

Lenard made 50.0 percent of his field goal attempts during the week, as Middle Tennessee went 1-1 against Winthrop and SFA. he becomes the first Blue Raider to be named Freshman of the Week since Tyson Jackson on December 16, 2019.

The Blue Raiders are back in action at 11:30 a.m. CT Tuesday against Rider in the Cancun Challenge.
