The only reason Quickly comments are mostly anti-Trump and Republicans is that they tried to overthrow the U.S. government because they didn’t like the result of a fair and secure election. There aren’t two sides to this issue. It’s a felony to attempt an overthrow of the U.S. government. We are defending our democracy.
How come people who think teenagers are mature enough to be trusted with guns, are the same people who think they are too immature to be trusted with books?
Why do churches and their parishioners become so clannish? It wasn’t always like this, was it? The church that I was raised in seemed to be normal, and willing to help others, but now I am second guessing my memories. Now they act like outsiders are all enemies rather than folks who choose to worship in their own way.
Kyle Rittenhouse repeatedly insisted during his interview that his trial was not about politics, and that he was not political. Yet he jumped in a car with a Tucker Carlson film crew right after he was freed. And right after his interview on Fox News he went to Mar-a-Lago to meet with Trump, who coincidentally followed up with an interview of his own on Fox News. But, nothing political going on. Nope, not at all. Dumb kid.
Kyle Rittenhouse was found NOT GUILTY of all charges because the inept prosecutor didn’t charge him legally with the right things. The jury followed the instructions of the law.

The International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance, a global watchdog that monitors democracies worldwide, now says America is a “backsliding democracy” due to Trump’s baseless attacks on the 2020 election and Republican efforts to suppress voting. The increasing tendency to contest fair and credible election results is cited as most damaging. We should all be alarmed. This is how countries lose democracy. Every Republican who cares about America should be disgusted.
A conservative Quickly writer wrote that on his job a group of conservatives get together during their morning break and hash over Quickly. I told you some time ago that Quickly is very popular. Kudos to the Quickly editors! The writer said they don’t include liberals in their discussions or ‘get togethers.’ How interesting! I learn so much from others! Conservatives won’t even attempt bipartisanship on the job! I suspect the real reason liberals are not included is because conservatives don’t want to be reminded of how dysfunctional the Republican party is. Conservatives gain comfort in their own little group’s talking about ‘stuff’ they would be embarrassed to talk about in public. One example is the 2020 election. Another is the 1/6 insurrection. A third is the recent Rittenhouse case. Your group may want to think about the benefits of inclusion and diversity of thought even on the job. The contributions of one will never match the input of many! The great basketball player Michael Jordan once said, “Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships.” Please know inclusion just might help your group’s politics and your workplace production!
If you’re one of the political gurus that hated the former guy so much, you flushed a killer economy down the drain not to mention energy independence, deregulation and a natural gas supply in Alaska that would have saved you a small fortune this winter heating your house than sound off in quickly. You must be so proud of yourself for being braindead!
I’ll come to dinner if you won’t say the election was rigged, Hunter’s laptop was stolen by the FBI, antifia really attacked the capital, wait never mind. Olive Garden, here I come!
Rep. Jim Baird, a Republican Congressman who represents part of Northwest Indiana, has been fined $5,000 for refusing to go through a metal detector before going into the U. S. House chamber. He was reminded by three police officers, and he ignored them and kept walking. He disrespects law enforcement and disrespects U.S. government rules, and somehow voters should trust him to do what is right for his constituents? Vote out every one of these selfish, grandstanding attention seekers.
